Tennessee World Trade Week is a celebration of world trade and its positive impact on economic development in the State of Tennessee.
Every year, the President of the United States declares the third full week in May as World Trade Week. Trade organizations, businesses and other stakeholders come together both nationally and locally to promote and facilitate international trade in the U.S. economy.
This year, the Tennessee District Export Council (TN DEC) will be promoting the benefits of trade from May 15th – 19th in a series of events, seminars and public awareness activities. The purpose is to raise the awareness of the importance of trade to the state’s economy as well as the impact on business, economic development and education.
TN DEC is partnering with local Chambers of Commerce, the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development and the US Export Assistance Centers of the US Commercial Service. We are also working with Trade Service Providers like the Small Business Administration and the Export-Import Bank of the United States. We hope that you will also join our efforts to Celebrate Trade during Tennessee World Trade Week.
